Private life insurer, Aegon Religare, plans to enter the health insurance segment while continuing to focus on term insurance products, a senior company official said.
"We are looking to enter the health insurance segment and will be filing upto three health insurance products with the IRDA in the last quarter of this fiscal," Aegon Religare Life Insurance"s Chief Financial Officer, K S Gopalakrishnan, told PTI here.

Aegon Religare presently has four term products in its portfolio of which it is selling exclusively one term product, i-Term, online.
"The plan is cheaper than other products available in the market as we have been able to eliminate the distribution cost," Gopalakrishnan said.
"This is a significant thing we are betting on," he said.
The minimum sum assured is of Rs 10 lakh and the entry age is a minimum of 18 years and maximum of 50 years.
The company which has a current capital base of Rs 465 crore is planning to infuse Rs 60 crore by the end of this fiscal, Gopalkrishnan said.
It is also increasing its agents strength to 9,000 from the present 5,000 by end-fiscal, he said.
