Sensex at day's low

The Sensex is now at 14,879, down 531 points. - Sensex plunges further, down 460pts - Sensex dips below 15K - Suzlon tops combined volume chart - Provogue India to buy back shares worth Rs 50 cr - Airlines stocks in red on ATF price hike - Markets extend losses The NSE Nifty is at 4,412, down 167 points. ___________________________________________________ (Updated at 1412hrs) The Sensex slipped to touch a low 14,929 and is now at 14,964, down 447 points. All the sectoral indices are in red. The BSE Realty index has shed over 5.5% to 3,739. Sterlite and Hindalco have tumbled 5.5% each to Rs 625 and Rs 103, respectively. DLF, Tata Steel and Hero Honda have slipped over 5% each to Rs 374, Rs 445 and Rs 1,404, respectively. ACC, Reliance Infrastructure, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra and Jaiprakash Associates have dropped over 4% each. BHEL is marginally up at Rs 2,205. The market breadth is negative, out of 2,554 shares traded, 1,674 have declined and 790 have declined so far on the BSE. The NSE Nifty is at 4,441, down 139 points. Cipla has declined 4.5% to Rs 209. Ranbaxy has added 2% to Rs 302.

The outgoing chairman of the Company Law Board (CLB) S Balasubramaniam on Wednesday said that lack of qualified manpower at independent quasi-judicial body could impede its functioning in the medium-term, especially considering the delay in the implementation of the proposed National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
