There was a huge surge in volumes, with 8.72 lakh shares being traded on the counter as against the two-week average of 0.65 lakh shares. Pfizer will commercialise around 40 off-patent products in the oncology area. The stock opened at Rs 245 and jumped 14.5% to touch a new 52-week high of Rs 269. It is currently trading with a gain of Rs 24, or 10%, at Rs 259. The stock has soared 332% from its 52 week low of Rs 60. The counter has seen comparatively hefty trade volumes of 3.82 lakh shares on the BSE, as against the two-week daily average trade of 65,000 shares. Pfizer is also up 3.2% at Rs 972. The stock opened at Rs 950 and touched a high of Rs 991 - up 5.2% from the previous close. Over 5,719 shares have changed hands on the counter in BSE, as against the two-week daily average trade of 3,206 shares.
